Sort out the width of the banner!
You’re behind – missing typography designs, sound research, audience research, storyboards…
Good recording of production process.
Appearance of blog needs tidying up & some posts very hard to read – audience profile especially.
I have took the feedback on board and up my game and got up to date with the blogging.

Typography Lesson
During our lesson on typography , we looked at the impact the type of font have on films.
Our teacher put up on the interactive board , different font types such as Harry Potter , and we had to try and identify what the film was from looking at the type of font.
Once we identified all the different films and there fonts , as a class we realized the significance of typography and how as a audience , you take it in and remember these little things. If you have a good , eye catching font then this will attract the audience and expand your film as they will remember your film and what the font you chose looks likes.
Our second task we got a hand out sheet , stating these questions
How has typography been used?
What fonts have been used?
What do they indicate to you about the films: genre; narrative; setting; themes?
What does the font colour indicate about the content of the film?
What information is provided by the opening sequence?
Examine the order in which information appears.
Is there any significance in the positioning of the text or image?
How has the sequence been edited?
How has the sequence been edited to appear? Does it look like a particular style of editing/film?
What kind of transitions are used and what is the effect?
What is the pace of the edit? Does it vary or change through the sequence?
The genre
How is the genre of the film constructed?
What do the opening titles show, visually? Are there narrative enigmas created here?
What types of shot are used? Do any of these indicate the genre?
Where are these shots positioned to the viewer?
What is the effect of the music?
What genre of music has been chosen?
Why do you think the filmmakers chose this track?
What is the effect of this?
How would you describe it?
All these questions was a step by step guide for us to answer when doing our evaluation of the title sequence ‘SEVEN'

Title Sequence Ideas
Title Sequence Ideas:
In todays
lesson, we started brainstorming ideas for the title sequence of our film
idea. As a group we decided to base our
film title sequence on thematic ideas rather than focusing on the narrative
side. Once the title sequence has been watched, we want the audience to have a
idea of what the film is about through the hint and clues given within the
clip.
Title Sequence
Location
The location of the title sequence is going to be filmed
within a old apartment/house as it’s the main thematic about our film. Each
clip will be filmed within different locations of the house but extreme close
up so it doesn’t give away the identify of the person and the house itself.
Idea
The key thematic ideas of the film are:
·
The apartment/House
·
Identity lost – Passports, Credit Cards,
Newspapers, and Photos.
·
Paranormal Presence in the house
·
Diary
During the title sequence we want to include most of the
thematic based around the film.
We had ideas of starting off with a clip of the old door and
the door number there ‘26’ and a hand comes into the clip and pushes the door
open of the house which is the main aspect of the film.
Once inside, we want to use close up on parts of the body of
the person looking round the house doesn’t give away the identity of the
person. Linking within the theme of his lost identity when he was child.
The diary is a key aspect in the film, which is what the
person is looking for, the diary is open on a desk and flicks through the pages
revealing clues of the film in what’s it about. For example, photos of the
family witch she never knew, passports credit cards. All these are key aspects
of the theme of his lost identity and his lost family history.
Editing:
During the cut scenes of each clip we want them to gradually
get shorter and shorter when the flash back from the person to dairy. So
therefore it builds up pace to the sequence through short and quick shots so it
creates excitement, tension and suspense for the audience to link in with in
the horror genre of our film.
The music we have ideas for which we are going to use is a
spooky background soundtrack, and then paranormal sounds start gradually
joining together to build suspense to fit in within the short clips of the
soundtrack as they get faster.
The music will get faster and louder to build suspense and
random bangs and etc. to hint towards to paranormal side to our film about the
evil presence in the house.
The lighting of the film will be mainly dark to create a
tense atmosphere for the audience. We were thinning to start the film more
light and as the sequence goes on, it gradually gets darker to suggest the presence
is trapping her and end with a bright open shot to suggest she reborn again
after she found out everything about her family.
